My bands and style of performance ranges from St. Louis blues and R&B, to New Orleans Funk and Jazz, to Memphis Soul and everything in between. I perform solo with guitar in restaurants and festivals, and build bands for unique situations like private parties, wineries and breweries, as duo, trio jazz and acoustic style performances that I will bill as Andy Coco & Co. Here’s my upcoming performance schedule.

But I also lead a number of great performance units:

Andy Coco’s NOLA Funk and R&B Review – a 5-8 piece Rhythm and Blues, Funk and Soul band built to represent the St. Louis area’s influences and music brought to us by the Missisippi River from our Sister Cities Memphis and New Orleans. We perform a residency at the Broadway Oyster Bar in downtown St. Louis and at private4 parties, festivals, community events, crawfish boils, and Fais Do-dos!

The Service – funky jazz with ballsy rock improvisation from organist Nathan Hershey and composer guitarist Pete Lombardo. I play electric bass guitar and produce our records. (our music: on Bandcamp and on Spotify)

The Service Live at Jazz St. Louis’s Ferring Bistro

Hip Grease – horn led instrumental “soul jazz” featuring the compositions of keyboardist Dave Grelle, saxophonist Ben Reece, and Flugelhorn player Adam Hucke. Resembles the 60s style music of Lou Donaldson, Hugh Masekela, Lee Morgan, and Eddie Harris, and performing regularly at St. Louis Jazz clubs and festivals. (our music: on Bandcamp and on Spotify)

As DJ – I presently host a Soul Jazz format Radio show on Classic 107.3, following a 20 year career at a St. Louis FM radio station, I hosted my program The Rhythm Section. I am presently for hire as a DJ for special events, opening and closing sets, and love to world cast my spins live on my Radio station – Dogtown Records Radio!

Others acts that I represent:

Giant Quintet – producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Taylor created this unit to feature local talent performing his original works.

Big Mike Aguirre – vocalist and guitarist from St. Louis marooned in 2020 on Anguilla Island, and now living and working on St. John, the regular reconvening of his Blu City All stars is always a worthwhile event. The band works as quartet, but when occasion allows, features a 3 sax horn section and guest vocalists from all over the St. Louis region.
